Central Indiana Bee Stream. started 10/8/2019 abt 7.55pm - LIVE Bee inspections Saturday.
This morning "Limestone" was actively purging drones, sick, dying, dead. Notice the cannibalization for nutrients for the hive. Removed top super frames and put inner cover on top brood box. Placed feed bottle on top of inner cover using super for bottle cover as rest of yard. Very little attention to feed as wild resources still coming in.
Sadly I have confirmed there is zero eggs and no new capped brood in "Quartz". I plan to go through Nate and Quartz to remove all capped frames and non utilized frames. Then combine the hives using newspaper method. Then rearrange as necessary this weekend. capped frames will he held in reserve until November and swapped back in for any uncapped/wet frames.
Suburban back yard Bee Hives. Part of the purpose here is to demonstrate that a person with time management issues in the suburbs can still pull this off.
Every 6-12 days I do LIVE inspections. I then usually copy that portion of the stream for a "highlight". Sometimes something cool is captured and I post a highlight of that. Occasionally I edit some footage together and produce a video. Other non bee related projects in the wings.
