Bolton Bees January 5 2019-- checking hives on warm day
It was 32 degrees today in northern MN, 45 degrees in the Twin cities. We are up north during this time of the year, jarring honey and building equipment for next year. We took advantage of the warm weather to open up a couple of hives and check honey stores. This video shows us checking a hive. We looked at another hive previous to this one that we felt like we weren't able to give it as much fall feed as we wanted. We are happy to see that it also had a good cluster size and about 4+ frames of honey left. This makes us pretty good at this point.
